PET ACCOMMODATION POLICIES AND REGULATIONS
We understand that your pet is another member of your family, and we recognize that your trip wouldn't be the same without your best friend. Therefore, we allow you to bring your pet, strictly adhering to the following rules:
The possession of wild or untamed animals is prohibited in Colombia. In our establishment, we comply with this regulation to preserve fauna and ensure the safety of our guests. For this reason, only domestic animals are allowed.
Accommodating a pet involves a deeper daily room cleaning and maintenance than usual, hence the necessity to charge for your small friend's accommodation.
Pets weighing a maximum of 10 kg are allowed for an additional fee
We reserve the right to deny entry to pets showing signs of unhygienic conditions or potentially contagious diseases, exhibiting aggressive behavior, or failing to comply with the hotel's policies and rules.
GUIDELINES
For your pet's tranquility and safety, ensure that your pet has an identification tag or microchip.
If your pet is a cat, you must bring its scratching post and litter box with sufficient litter and a scoop for cleaning.
Upon entering or exiting the hotel, the pet must be leashed, carried, or in a carrier. Pets are not allowed in common hotel areas such as restaurants, dining areas, or lounges.
The use of the establishment's dishes, glasses, and other utensils for the pet is not allowed.
All pets must always be under the supervision of their owner or a responsible adult.
Do not leave your pet alone in the hotel room. However, if for an exceptional reason, you leave your pet unaccompanied, it must remain in the carrier during your absence, and you must notify the reception.
Guests are responsible for preventing their pet from disturbing the order or tranquility of other people in the establishment.
The owner is obligated to maintain the pet in proper hygienic and sanitary conditions.
Brushing pets in the rooms, bathing them in the showers, or using the establishment's towels to dry them is not allowed.
Do not allow the pet on beds, sofas, armchairs, etc. If it's customary, we ask that you protect our furniture with your sheet. If you want to dry or clean the pet after a walk, do not use the hotel's towels.
The owner is responsible for damages beyond room cleaning. Additional charges may be applied to your accommodation if the pet causes disorder, damages furniture, or hygiene problems. A form will be completed upon your entry, guaranteeing any damage.
If another guest complains about barking, noise, or your pet's behavior, you must take your pet out of the hotel immediately.
Any damage or harm caused by or attributable to the pet towards third parties, goods, properties, or any incidents due to its behavior will be the responsibility of the owner. The owner must cover the resulting expenses or damages to persons, furniture, facilities, bedding, and others. The establishment's employees will be absolved of any responsibility if the pet injures itself or another guest, and the owner will be billed for the damages and/or defects caused.
Our utmost concern is to accommodate you and your pet as best as possible. However, our priority will always be our guests. Please do not bring dogs that habitually bark excessively or are aggressive towards people or other pets. Any complaint from a condominium guest will be taken with utmost seriousness. Unconditional respect for the space and tranquility of other guests is required.
Staying with us implies acceptance of these regulations. We appreciate the strict compliance with our rules.
TIPS
Tips for Traveling with Your Pet at Hotel Don Saul
Traveling with a well-behaved pet can be an excellent experience. However, even if you fully trust your furry companion, it's essential to consider that a change of environment can trigger unpredictable reactions.
Here are some useful suggestions:
Preparations:
Bring a familiar blanket, towel, or bed for your pet to sleep in the room. The familiar scent will provide comfort in the new environment.
Make sure to bring enough food, water, and the corresponding containers as it might be difficult to find the food your pet likes during the trip.
Do not forget to pack bags to pick up waste and essential documentation for your pet, including an ID tag with your phone number in case of emergency.
Carry a collar and leash, and if your pet is accustomed to getting on furniture, bring a sheet to protect them from fur and dirt.
Arrival at the Hotel:
Before entering the hotel, it's advisable to walk your pet so it can relieve itself. New places can cause "accidents".
Prevent your dog from marking its territory at the hotel entrance or in the room, as this will not contribute to a pleasant stay.
Ensure that your pet is clean upon entering the hotel. Avoid using the hotel towels or bathtub to clean your pet; instead, it is recommended to have your towel or acquire moist wipes for pets.
In case of coinciding with other guests who may have phobias, fears, or allergies, we request your commitment to ensure that your pet does not cause discomfort.
The comfort of all our guests is of utmost importance to us.
